Een tijdje geleden werd ik gevraagd of ik een lezing wilde geven voor een ondernemers opleiding. Natuurlijk wilde ik dat! Totdat ik een tijdje later hoorde dat het wel in het Engels was. Oeps, twijfel.. Mijn Engels is niet zo heel goed. Maar kom op zeg, ik wilde dit toch? Dus ik zei ja.. In de weken er naartoe zat ik te twijfelen of ik het wel zou kunnen. Tot de middag voor de lezing. Ik besloot gewoon eerlijk te zeggen tijdens mijn lezing dat ik het best spannend vond en dat ik wellicht af en toe naar een woord moest zoeken. Of ze mij dan wilden helpen.. Maar natuurlijk wilden ze dat! Het brak meteen het ijs! Ik vertelde mijn verhaal voor een bijzondere groep studenten, social entrepreneurs. Een van de studenten heeft een stukje geschreven over mijn lezing. Ik zet het hieronder om te laten zien dat je beloond wordt als je uit je comfortzone komt.. Dankjewel Floris!


On the 29th of May a beautiful woman called Josje Feller came to Knowmads Business School for Changemakers to tell her inspiring story.

In a small and cosy circle we were listening to a young woman who has managed to run her own company when she was 17 and now with her 24 years has given birth to her child, overcome her dads death which led her to take over his company and now has her own magazine called Vrouw&Passie.

What motivates her to go for all these actions? For Josje not doing is more painful than doing which is one key element of her success. We also loved her quote " What is the worst that can happen? Seriously. I am working on my dream!" We learnt that there never is any security, in anything, so why waiting for it… because if you do what you really want to do, there is an energy around you that provides you with the people who help you realize your dream. Always dare to ask and you will see there will be people to help. Use any opportunity to tell your story and people want to be part.

One thing is very clear. It is the passion in her that drives Josje to always look for a way. And there always is.
